Min Hee-jin has stepped down from her position as CEO of ADOR.
On the 27th, ADOR announced, "We held a board meeting today and appointed Kim Joo-young, ADOR's internal director, as the new CEO."
Kim Joo-young, the newly appointed CEO, is an expert in human resources (HR). ADOR explained, "Kim Joo-young will take on the role of stabilizing the organization and overseeing internal management."
Min Hee-jin will resign from her CEO position but will remain as an internal director of ADOR. She will also continue to oversee the production of NewJeans.
ADOR will separate production from management moving forward, which aligns with HYBE's consistent multi-label operation principle. Until now, Min Hee-jin had uniquely overseen both production and management at ADOR.
ADOR added, "With this personnel change and organizational restructuring, we will spare no effort in supporting NewJeans' growth and future success."
Meanwhile, Min Hee-jin and HYBE have been in conflict since April. HYBE accused Min Hee-jin and an ADOR executive, referred to as "A," of conspiring to seize management control and filed charges against them for breach of trust.
Min Hee-jin denied the accusations of attempting to seize management control, claiming that she was retaliated against after whistleblowing on plagiarism issues between labels. She emphasized that the problematic KakaoTalk conversation was merely casual talk.
Min Hee-jin is also in conflict with a former ADOR employee, referred to as "B." B has sued Min Hee-jin for violations of labor laws and the Personal Information Protection Act. Additionally, B reported Min Hee-jin and executive "A" to the Seoul Employment and Labor Office.
