Actress Kim Tae-ri is returning to 'Jeong-nyeon' after ditching her sweet face.

On the 29th, the teaser for tvN's drama “Jeong-nyeon: The Star is Born” was released for the first time, and much attention is being paid to Kim Tae-ri's different charm.

The teaser begins with the words, “The ‘Korean classical opera of women’ that was the most popular in the 50s, their performances colored the hard world with romance.”

Jeong-nyeon's (Kim Tae-ri) voice is then heard asking, “Do you know what a classical opera is?” and answering, “I've heard of it. The actors dance, sing, and act out their roles.”

As Jeong-nyeon's face shows her surprise at the classical opera, she says, “What I saw today was nothing...” and reveals the reason why the protagonist started classical opera.

Jeong-nyeon says, “I want to become a star in that classical opera world!” and is shown performing on stage.

The teaser was met with a lot of enthusiastic reactions. “Kim Tae-ri and Yoon Jung-yeon's synchronization is perfect,” ‘My heart is racing because the Jung-nyeon I knew is alive and breathing,’ ‘Tae-ri's voice is amazing... I can't believe she's acting,’ ‘Wow, the colors on the screen are crazy... I'm so excited,’ ‘I've been waiting so long to see Kim Tae-ri in a hanbok,’ and ‘There's no sign of Go Ae-shin. She's really good at acting,’ among other comments.

Jeong-nyeon is based on the webtoon of the same name, and tells the story of the competition, solidarity, and glorious upbringing of Jeong-nyeon, a “natural sounding genius” who challenges to become the best gugak actor in the 1950s, a time of poverty but romance, just after the Korean War.
