Min Hee-jin "NewJeans Capturing Until November 1st... I Can't Accept"

Former CEO Min Hee-jin stated that the 'delegation of duties contract' that allows her to continue producing NewJeans is unreasonable and cannot be accepted.

On the 30th, former CEO Min Hee-jin's side pointed out that the claim by the Adore board of directors that 'former CEO Min Hee-jin will continue producing NewJeans' was "a one-sided media play that has nothing to do with former CEO Min Hee-jin's own intentions and she never agreed to any of the content of the report."

Former CEO Min Hee-jin stated that on the 28th, Adore board chairman Kim Joo-young sent her a contract titled 'delegation of duties contract' and explained, "It is one-sided and unreasonable to see it as an offer to take on producing duties, and there are many points that are difficult to understand from a common sense perspective."

The contract period stated in the business delegation contract he revealed is only '2 months and 6 days' from August 27 to November 1. Regarding this, former CEO Min Hee-jin pointed out, "It's surprising that they think they can complete the production of an idol group preparing for a world tour in just 2 months," and "With this, the Adore directors appointed by Hive are proving that they lack understanding of core tasks." Regarding the absurd contract period, he added, "It seems clear that the Adore board's claim that 'all decisions are the best decisions for NewJeans' was a lie and a media play." In addition, former CEO Min Hee-jin explained that the business delegation contract is full of toxic clauses that allow Adore to unilaterally terminate the contract. He said, "The contract stipulates that if Adore determines that former CEO Min Hee-jin's work performance ability is significantly lacking, the contract can be terminated immediately. There is no provision for any objective basis or criteria," and "Even if it is difficult to maintain the contract due to Adore's business circumstances or if Adore's CEO determines it is necessary, it is stipulated as a reason for immediate termination of the contract. It is a trick that opens the way to exclude her from the relevant work at any time and for any reason."

Former CEO Min Hee-jin pointed out, "Contrary to the announced 'separation of management and producing', it is full of unreasonable clauses, such as the fact that the contract can be terminated 'if management performance, etc. are significantly poor' even though she is a producer, and 'it forces excessively broad compliance requirements' or 'the non-compete period is six times longer than the two-month contract period.'"

Regarding the delegation of duties contract sent by Adore, former CEO Min Hee-jin said, "We cannot help but view this as an intentional act to 'induce producers to reject the contract' and use it as a stepping stone for yet another media play." She added, "Adore's board of directors has demanded that this unreasonable contract be signed by the 30th. Former CEO Min Hee-jin has decided that the contract cannot be signed, and is expressing her position in case further distorted articles are reported as a result."
