Shin Woo-seok, the head of Dolphin Kidnapping Group, claimed that Adore requested the deletion of his work related to NewJeans. Adore has completely refuted this. Shin directed music videos for NewJeans such as "Ditto" and "ETA."
Adore released a statement on the 3rd. "The 'ETA' music video director's cut that Dolphin Kidnapping Group posted on their own SNS channel was an edited version that included parts that had differences of opinion with the advertiser in the past."
The agency also refuted this, saying, "It was posted without permission without consultation with the advertiser," and "We only requested Dolphin Kidnapping Group to stop posting the video in question."
They emphasized, "We never requested the deletion or cessation of uploads of any videos related to NewJeans, including the Ban Hee-soo channel," and "Adore's channel operation policy has not changed either."
Adore's side expressed strong regret, saying, "Director Shin Woo-seok is spreading false information that Adore requested the deletion of all videos related to NewJeans, including the Ban Hee-soo channel."
Lastly, the agency stated, "We will take the best possible measures so that the deleted NewJeans content can be uploaded to Adore's official channel in the future."
Earlier, CEO Shin said, "Due to Adore's request for deletion, all the NewJeans music videos and related video channels that we have worked on and uploaded so far, as well as the videos that were scheduled to be uploaded, cannot be released."
CEO Shin said, "The Dolphin Kidnapping Group and Ban Hee-soo YouTube channel are operated primarily for the purpose of archiving our portfolios. We do not generate a single penny of profit."
They declared that they would not collaborate with Adore. "However, due to Adore's request that their position change, all videos will be deleted and cannot be released. As of today, it seems that collaboration will be impossible."
Dolphin Kidnapping Group is a content studio. The collaboration began when CEO Shin Woo-seok collaborated with former Adore CEO Min Hee-jin. He was in charge of NewJeans' music video.
CEO Shin also opened a separate YouTube channel called 'Banheesu'. It captured the members' natural appearances. It depicted NewJeans' daily lives, such as running around at school.
Meanwhile, Adore dismissed Min Hee-jin from her position as CEO on the 27th of last month. It newly appointed internal director Kim Joo-young as the new CEO. Min Hee-jin claimed that the content of the production delegation contract was unreasonable.
