Actress Han So-hee bowed her head again because of her mother. Following her past 'debt fight', Han So-hee's mother has now caused trouble for her daughter by operating an illegal gambling den.

On the 3rd, Nine Ato Entertainment stated, "The content related to Han So-hee's mother is an extremely personal matter that the mother did."

Han So-hee also expressed her heartbreaking feelings upon hearing about the content through the article.

The agency stated, "This incident is completely unrelated to the actress and is the mother's arbitrary act," and "We are sorry to inform you of the uncomfortable news as it is a personal matter, not a work."

Han So-hee's mother, Ms. Shin, was arrested on the 3rd on charges of opening an illegal gambling den. She is accused of operating 12 gaming dens in Ulsan and Wonju, including under the pretext of a barge from 2021 to last month.

Ms. Shin was also the subject of controversy four years ago. In 2020, a debt dispute broke out, claiming that Han So-hee's mother had disappeared with her savings.

At the time, Han So-hee wrote on her blog. "My parents divorced when I was 5, and my grandmother raised me," she said. "I found out about my mother's debt after I was 20."

Han So-hee then confessed, "I am the daughter of my grandmother who raised me, and it is my duty as a child, so I paid off my mother's debt as much as I could."

However, the debt grew to an unmanageable level. Shin borrowed money using Han So-hee's name and activities and did not pay it back. Of course, Han So-hee did not consent.

However, a similar case occurred in 2022. Her mother was sued for fraud worth tens of millions of won. Han So-hee's mother borrowed money and used a bank account in her daughter's name.

The agency explained, "Han So-hee's mother opened a bank account on her own when she was a minor," and "she used the account to borrow money (without Han So-hee's knowledge)." At the time, the agency drew a line, saying that it would not pay Shin's debt on her behalf. It was an attempt to block any actions that took advantage of Han So-hee's celebrity status.
