Netflix movie 'Uprising' (written by Park Chan-wook, directed by Kim Sang-man) has confirmed its release on October 11.

'Uprising' is a historical drama set during the Imjin War. The main characters are 'Jong-ryeo' (played by Park Jung-min), the only son of the best military family in Joseon, and his servant 'Cheon-yeong' (played by Kang Dong-won).

The two become the closest military officer and volunteer soldier of 'Seonjo' (played by Cha Seung-won), respectively. The story is about them meeting again as enemies after being close to each other.

The launching poster was also released on the 6th. Someone's hand was holding a sword high while tying up a red cloth. It was an image that seemed to penetrate the era of war and chaos.

In addition to Park Jung-min and Kang Dong-won, other actors who are trustworthy and watchable will be appearing. Kim Shin-rok plays the role of volunteer soldier 'Beom-dong'. He shows a strong will that is not broken even in adversity.

Jin Seon-gyu plays the character of 'Kim Ja-ryeong', a leader of the righteous army from the noble class. He will lead the people in the midst of chaos.

Jeong Seong-il plays the role of 'Genshin', a cruel Japanese vanguard. Cha Seung-won plays 'Seonjo', a monarch who abandoned his people and ran away during the chaotic times.

Meanwhile, 'Uprising' was selected as the opening film for the 29th Busan International Film Festival. Korean film programmer Jeong Han-seok praised it, saying, "It is a sophisticated and powerful historical drama masterpiece" and "It exudes the best charm in all areas."
