Singer IU celebrated the 16th anniversary of her debut with a generous donation. She donated the money under the name “IUAENA,” combining her fandom name with her own.

IU celebrated her 16th debut anniversary on the 18th. On that day, she donated 225 million won to the Korean Association for Children with Incurable Diseases, the Elderly Milk Delivery Organization, and the Hansarang Nursery School.

IU has been making donations in the name of IUAENA every year on its debut anniversary. This year, IU also donated a large amount of money to the vulnerable in society.

First of all, she helps children with rare and incurable diseases. The donation of 50 million won will be used to pay for medical treatment, education, psychological counseling, and medical supplies.

Another 50 million won will be used for a campaign to send milk to the elderly living alone. 50 million won will also be used to provide rehabilitation therapy for children at the Hansarang Disabled Children's Home.

Hansarang Village is home to people with severe disabilities. With IU's donation, an elevator will be installed to ensure their right to mobility.

In January, IU donated heating bills to the socially vulnerable. For her birthday in May, IU donated 200 million won to the Soonjang Organ Foundation, the Korea Social Welfare Association, Love Snail, and the Korean Association of Single Mothers and Families.

The donations were distributed to various organizations in need. The donations included cochlear implant surgery, speech rehabilitation therapy, and external devices for children and adolescents with hearing impairments.
