Actress Suhyun has divorced after five years of marriage.

YG Entertainment announced on the 23rd, “Suhyun has decided to end her marriage after careful discussions. After an amicable agreement, they have completed the consultative divorce process,” the agency said in an official statement.

“Although she and Mr. Cha Min-geun have gone their separate ways, they continue to support each other,” the statement continued, ”This decision was made after long consideration. Please refrain from malicious comments and speculative reports.”

Suhyun married Cha Min-geun on December 14, 2019. Mr. Cha is a Korean-American, three years Soohyun's senior.

Mr. Cha is a founding member of global coworking company WeWork. He led WeWork's expansion into Asia and served as the company's CEO for South Korea.

The couple had a daughter in September 2020. However, it is not known about the custody arrangements for their daughter.

Meanwhile, Suhyun is set to release the movie “A Normal Family” next month on the 9th.
