Singer Baekhyun made a meaningful donation. He donated 50 million won in the hope that it would help reclaim our relics.
On the 26th, Baekhyun was invited as a donating member to the National Museum of Korea's 50th anniversary ceremony, 'New Past, Old Future', held at the Shilla Hotel's Yeongbin Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul.
He quietly donated 50 million won to the National Museum of Korea in January. This fact was belatedly revealed about 9 months later and became a hot topic.
The National Museum of Korea is a group that supports museums. It helps with relic donations, exhibition room improvement projects, academic and educational development, etc. It works for the purpose of public interest projects such as the spread of traditional culture.
Baekhyun said, "I hope that the National Museum of Korea, which represents Korea, will have a better exhibition environment," and "I hope that our relics that were not recovered will return to their rightful place and be able to fully communicate with many people."
Baekhyun contributed to the global K-pop craze through his activities with 'EXO'. The agency explained, "Baekhyun wanted to give back to many people culturally as much as he received."
The official added, "After experiencing the various meaningful activities of the National Museum of Korea, Baekhyun wanted to give back."
With this donation, Baekhyun was added to the list of 'Golden Crown Members' of the National Museum of Korea. He will also be introduced in the 'Museum People' booklet published by the National Museum of Korea.
Meanwhile, Baekhyun recorded 1,096,995 copies of his 4th mini-album 'Hello, World' in its first week of release on the 6th. He proved his ability by setting his own record in his 13th year since debut.
