Stray Kids made the American Music Awards special. They performed a tribute to *NSYNC.
Stray Kids attended the 50th anniversary of the American Music Awards (AMAs) in Los Angeles on October 7 (KST) as performers.
The group appeared with ropes attached to their bodies from the ceiling. They then performed a choreographed dance to *NSYNC's “Bye Bye Bye”.
The *NSYNC tribute was complete. *NSYNC had previously performed a puppet show at the 2000 AMAs. They were inspired by this performance.
Stray Kids continued their performance with “Chk Chk Boom,” the title track of their mini 9th album. They captivated the local audience with their intense performance.
In an interview with Billboard, the group expressed their admiration for *NSYNC. “They are the group that laid the foundation for boy bands in culture and more,” Felix said.
When asked about becoming the first K-pop group to top the Billboard 200 with five consecutive albums, he said, “It's all thanks to Stay (their fan name). Thank you,” and gave a thumbs up.
Meanwhile, STRAY KIDS will release their second full-length album “GIANT” on November 13 in Japan.
