Seunghan has left the group 'RIIZE,' just two days after announcing his return to activities.
On October 13, SM Entertainment's Wizard Production announced Seunghan's departure from the group, stating, "Seunghan has expressed his intention to leave the team for the sake of the members and the fans."
They added, "We apologize for the difficulties and confusion caused to the six members who have worked tirelessly and given their all since debut to make RIIZE what it is today."
Seunghan also wrote a handwritten letter, starting with, "I understand that many people are taking my return to activities seriously, and I, too, am aware of the gravity of the situation."
After much contemplation, he decided to step down. "After deep reflection, all I could think of was the concern and guilt I felt. So, I’ve concluded that leaving the team is the best way forward for everyone."
He continued, "I don’t want to cause any more confusion or hurt to the fans," and expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank the company, the members, and those who supported me for their efforts to give me another chance."
In his final words, Seunghan wrote, "It breaks my heart to see fans fighting because of me. I truly hope RIIZE will continue to be loved, and I will support them wholeheartedly."
Seunghan’s private life became a topic of controversy soon after his debut in September of last year, when photos and videos from his trainee days were circulated online. As the controversy grew, he decided to halt his activities indefinitely.
