The world is abuzz with the news of BTS member J-Hope's upcoming discharge from military service.

On October 17, J-Hope will complete his 18-month military service and return to civilian life.

Concerned about the large crowds expected to gather at his base on the day of his discharge, J-Hope posted a message on Weverse, the fan community platform, on October 14. He stated, "There will be no special events on the day of my discharge. To prevent accidents due to overcrowding, I kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site."

Despite his request, fans are making their own plans to celebrate. J-Hope's Korean fan club, "Jung Hoseok Flower Path Supporters," has arranged for a balloon to be flown over Baekho Division instead of visiting the site directly. The fan club also plans to place around 30 congratulatory banners near the base and have a specially wrapped bus ready to celebrate the occasion.

Overseas fan clubs are equally busy preparing for J-Hope's discharge celebrations. His Japanese fan club, HOPEFULLPLACE, is planning to install a commemorative monument in the "Street of Hope" located in Buk-gu, Gwangju, J-Hope's hometown, on the day of his discharge.

J-Hope's discharge will be celebrated across the world. In South Korea, congratulatory banners will be displayed in front of HYBE's headquarters, at Seongsu-dong's Trimaje, and on street lamps near Seoul Forest Station. Large electronic billboards in Hongdae Airport Railroad and COEX will also feature celebration ads.

Internationally, major screens in locations such as Times Square in New York, Hawaii Public Library, Osaka, the Philippines, Thailand, and Brazil will display advertisements to celebrate J-Hope's return.

J-Hope began his service on April 18, 2023, serving as a drill instructor at the Baekho Division's 36th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Wonju, Gangwon Province. He will be officially discharged on October 17.
