"Salute! I have completed my service in good health." (J-Hope)

J-Hope from BTS has returned to meet ARMY in good spirits.

On October 17, J-Hope officially completed his military service with a discharge ceremony at the 36th Infantry Division’s Recruit Training Center in Wonju, Gangwon Province. He enlisted as an active-duty soldier in April last year and served as an instructor at the training center.

A crowd of reporters gathered at the scene. J-Hope emerged from the base around 10 a.m. and was warmly welcomed by Jin, who came to greet him. J-Hope also received a bouquet of flowers.

Standing in front of the media, J-Hope gave a sharp salute, smiling as he shouted, "Salute!" He also playfully asked the reporters, "Please take nice photos."

J-Hope expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you so much. I am grateful to everyone who came a long way. Thanks to the support from fans, I was able to finish my service safely."

Jin then stepped forward, kneeling down to hold a microphone for J-Hope. Placing his hand on Jin's shoulder, J-Hope joked, "Please take good care of Jin hyung."

He reflected on his military service, saying, "Over the past 18 months, I went on many marches and met many Wonju citizens. I deeply appreciate the support they gave to the soldiers."

J-Hope emphasized the dedication of military personnel. "Our soldiers are doing so much for the country. If the public pays more attention to them, it will hold even greater meaning," he said.

He also addressed his fans, saying, "Thank you so much for waiting for me and giving me such strong support, encouragement, and love. I have completed my service in good health. Salute!"

J-Hope continued to show his affection for ARMY until the end. He blew kisses and saluted repeatedly. Even after getting into his car, he made finger hearts and waved goodbye to fans.

With this discharge, J-Hope becomes the second BTS member to complete his service, following Jin. Meanwhile, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook are currently serving as active-duty soldiers, and Suga is fulfilling his military duty as a public service worker.
