Actors Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin are embarking on a delicate "show window marriage" in their upcoming drama.

On October 17, MBC-TV released new stills from their Friday-Saturday drama "When the Phone Rings"(written by Kim Ji-woon and directed by Park Sang-woo and Wi Deuk-gyu). The stills capture the chemistry between Yoo and Chae, teasing the dynamics of their relationship.

The images depict various moments from their "show window marriage," showcasing tension rather than excitement. As Baek Sa-eon (played by Yoo) and Hong Hee-joo (played by Chae) exchange significant glances, a bittersweet atmosphere emerges. Dressed in formal wear, they seem connected yet distant, hinting at their emotionally complex relationship.

Baek Sa-eon, a character known for his immaculate public image, maintains his polished appearance through strict self-discipline. On the other hand, Hee-joo plays only the bare minimum role of a wife, with no expectations or hopes for their marriage.

Despite both holding communication focused jobs Sa-eon as a presidential spokesperson and Hee-joo as a sign language interpreter the couple struggles to communicate with each other, adding layers of tension and romance to the plot​.

The drama, adapted from a web novel by "Geon-eo-mul-nyeo" on KakaoPage, weaves romance and thriller elements. It revolves around the couple's three-year marriage, which begins to unravel with the arrival of a threatening phone call.

Yoo Yeon-seok plays the role of Baek Sa-eon, the youngest-ever presidential spokesperson, while Chae Soo-bin portrays his wife, Hee-joo, who suffers from mutism following a childhood accident.
