"Every Night, They Search for Light" Ju Ji-hoon and Park Bo-young Set a Mysterious Tone

'Light Shop' Unveils Two Teaser Posters and Trailer

Disney+ has released two teaser posters and a teaser trailer for its original series, Light Shop. The story follows a mysterious shop that illuminates the end of a dark alley, attracting enigmatic customers with hidden secrets. The series is based on the fifth installment in author Kang Full's Mystery Psychological Chill series and draws inspiration from the webtoon of the same name, which has garnered over 150 million views and widespread praise.

Renowned actor Kim Hee-won, known for his compelling role as Choi Il-hwan, a teacher in Moving, and his impressive work across films and dramas, makes his directorial debut with this series. The cast includes Ju Ji-hoon, Park Bo-young, Kim Seol-hyun, Bae seong-woo, Uhm Tae-goo, Lee Jung-eun, Kim Min-ha, Park Hyuk-kwon, Kim Dae-myeung, Shin Eun-soo, Kim Seon-hwa, and Kim Ki-hae, portraying mysterious characters connected to the Light Shop.

Following the release of an opening poster that sparked curiosity, two new teaser posters further heighten expectations for the show.

One poster features Ju Ji-hoon as Won-young, the owner of the Light Shop, exuding an intense presence as he encounters strange visitors drawn to the light. The teaser hints at intriguing stories waiting to unfold in the shop as Won-young meets these enigmatic individuals night after night.

Another teaser poster showcases Park Bo-young as Yeong-ji, a nurse working in a critical care ward. Unlike Won-young's composed demeanor, Yeong-ji appears anxious, watching the ward's visitors with a fearful gaze in the cold blue lighting. This contrast raises questions about the unusual individuals both characters meet. The poster's tagline, "Every night, they search for light," adds to the suspense, enhancing the show's mysterious tone.

The teaser trailer provides a glimpse into Kang Full's distinctive world, brought to life by a stellar cast. Set in a pitch-black alley, the Light Shop stands as the only source of light, drawing in peculiar visitors. Each character arrives carrying a mix of fear, sadness, and longing, sparking curiosity about their personal stories. The trailer deepens the intrigue with the line, "Perhaps that desire isn't something you carry alone." It concludes with Won-young saying, "Wherever we are, it's still a world where people live, isn't it?"—a line that resonates deeply with viewers and builds excitement among global fans.

The series will feature eight episodes, with the first four debuting on December 4. The remaining episodes will be released in pairs every week for the following two weeks.
