BABYMONSTER Confirms 'CLIK CLAK' as Double Title Track

Girl group BABYMONSTER is set to make their comeback with double title tracks, showcasing their ambition with their first full-length album.

On October 21, YG Entertainment posted a "[DRIP] TRACKLIST REVISION" on its official blog. According to the update, BABYMONSTER will now promote two title tracks: "DRIP," which was previously confirmed, and "CLIK CLAK," the album's first track. This decision reflects the group's intent to make a powerful impact with their debut album.

The change was prompted by YG's executive producer Yang Hyun-suk, who was impressed by the choreography and music video for CLIK CLAK. Yang explained, "We deliberately kept choreography out of the music video to focus on the essence of the music and the members' individual charms, and I'm very satisfied with the outcome. We plan to release a performance video separately, offering a completely new and unique stage unlike anything seen before. Please look forward to it."

With the release of their first full-length album, BABYMONSTER will engage music fans through an array of content, including two music videos, music show promotions, and self-produced choreography videos. Armed with a well-planned activity roadmap, the group aims to leave a lasting impression by showcasing diverse charms with two title tracks.

As part of their pre-release promotions, the unveiling of the track "CLIK CLAK" has already drawn enthusiastic responses from global fans. The song's partial release has nearly reached 6 million views on YouTube, with reaction videos and fan-made dance challenges in various languages spreading rapidly, hinting at its growing popularity.

One of the most exciting aspects of the comeback is that all seven members rap—an unexpected and bold move. BABYMONSTER's versatility shines through as they seamlessly blend into the hip-hop genre, earning praise for their dynamic delivery. YG Entertainment teased, "About 1 minute and 30 seconds of CLIK CLAK has been pre-released, but the second half holds an unexpected twist, so you can look forward to it."

Notably, BABYMONSTER's debut with a full-length album comes in less than a year since their launch, setting a new record as YG's fastest debut-to-album timeline for a new group. This reflects the meticulous planning and dedication of Yang Hyun-suk, who has invested significant effort in BABYMONSTER, the first girl group he has launched in over seven years since BLACKPINK. Yang has hinted at producing more than three music videos for the album, further raising expectations for upcoming releases.

BABYMONSTER has already broken multiple K-pop girl group records with their debut and demonstrated impressive live vocal skills across various performances, earning the reputation of being a "trustworthy live performance group." From the beginning stages of planning, the group's training was designed with the global market in mind. As a result, the members are fluent in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Thai, and Chinese.

Looking ahead, Yang Hyun-suk has announced plans for a global tour in 2024, fueling excitement for BABYMONSTER's international activities. With momentum building, the full album [DRIP] is set for release on November 1 at 1 PM (KST), signaling the group's ambitious entry into the global music scene.
