Sungjin of DAY6 is taking his first step as a solo artist.
On October 22, JYP Entertainment revealed the tracklist for Sungjin’s first solo album, '30,' through their official social media channels, giving fans a glimpse of the songs included in the release.
The album features a total of 10 tracks, with Sungjin participating in both writing and composing all the songs. A spokesperson from JYP shared, “This album encapsulates Sungjin’s musical history and authenticity.”
The title track is 'Check Pattern,' which was produced in collaboration with Jeokjae and Lee Joo-hyung of Monotree. Other talented musicians such as Mingition, Dasol (SURL), Sim Hyun, Oh Ji-hyun, and Aaron Kim also contributed to the album.
The album offers a variety of genres, featuring songs like 'Like a Child in a Fairytale,' 'I Don't Want to Do Anything,' 'You, Nowhere to Be Found,' and 'The Tree Will Endure Winter.' Sungjin’s signature soft and soothing vocal tone is one of the highlights fans can look forward to.
Additional tracks include 'Wednesday Night,' 'Easy,' 'You Wake Me Up,' 'I Don't Wanna Lose,' and 'Memories,' further showcasing his diverse musical spectrum.
'30' reflects Sungjin’s emotions and personal stories accumulated around the time he turned thirty. JYP has expressed confidence, saying, “Please look forward to his solo endeavors.”
Known for his powerful vocals and exceptional instrumental skills, Sungjin has contributed to notable songs like 'Time of Our Life,' 'Welcome to the Show,' 'Happy,' and 'Melt.'
Sungjin will also hold his first solo concert, '30,' from November 8 to 11 at Donghae Culture and Arts Center, located at Kwangwoon University in Seoul’s Nowon District, where he plans to connect with his fans, known as My Day.
Tickets for the concert are available through YES24. Fan club pre-sales will open on October 24 at 8 PM KST, followed by general ticket sales on October 25 at 8 PM KST.
Sungjin's new album '30' will be released on major music platforms on November 5.
