Riku, a member of NCT WISH, will be taking a break from activities due to health issues.
On October 22nd, SM Entertainment announced through the fan platform Weverse, "We would like to provide an update on NCT WISH member Riku's health and activities."
According to the agency, Riku has recently been experiencing health concerns. Medical professionals advised that he requires adequate rest and recovery.
"Prioritizing the artist's health, we have decided after careful discussion that Riku will focus on treatment and recovery," the agency stated.
Effective immediately, Riku will suspend his activities, including previously scheduled commitments. The group's ongoing Asia tour will continue with the remaining five members.
SM Entertainment apologized to fans, saying, "We are sorry for causing concern and will do our best to ensure Riku returns healthy and strong."
Riku was notably absent from the 30th Dream Concert held at the Goyang Sports Complex on October 19th due to his health condition.
The timeline for his return is currently undecided. His participation in NCT WISH's first Asia tour, LOG in JAPAN, also remains uncertain.
Meanwhile, NCT WISH released their first mini-album, Steady, on September 24th.
