Jessi Shares Malicious Comments "Please Stop"

Jessi, embroiled in controversy for allegedly neglecting to intervene during a fan assault, has voiced the emotional toll caused by malicious comments.

On October 23rd, Jessi shared screenshots of abusive comments on her social media channel.

One comment read, "The best news would be hearing that you're dead. I look forward to it." Jessi responded by adding, "Please stop," expressing her emotional pain.

Many people expressed outrage upon seeing the messages, with reactions such as, "People who leave comments like that aren't in their right mind," "That's not criticism," "How can someone say such a thing?" "That's truly cruel," and "Malicious comments are a crime."

The controversy surrounding Jessi began with accusations that she failed to act when someone from her group assaulted a fan. On September 29th, in Apgujeong, Seoul, a fan known as "A" approached Jessi to request an autograph but was reportedly assaulted by a person in Jessi's entourage. It was alleged that Jessi witnessed the incident but did not intervene.

As public criticism grew, Jessi issued an apology, saying, "I was so shocked by the sudden situation that I failed to properly care for the fan. I feel morally responsible for the incident."

However, A's side expressed dissatisfaction with the apology, stating, "It doesn't seem like she is truly remorseful. The use of the phrase 'moral responsibility' makes it sound insincere."

The identity of the assailant has spread online, with some speculating that he may be a Taiwanese-American affiliated with the Triads. Additionally, rumors have emerged that a producer close to Jessi, known as Koala, may be connected to a Korean-American gang. Jessi's representatives have yet to issue any statements regarding these allegations.

Amid the controversy, Jessi terminated her contract with her agency only a month after signing. She has remained silent and has not issued further statements regarding the situation.
