Hong Eun-chae of LE SSERAFIM has captured attention with her striking pictorial for the November issue of Cosmopolitan.
Released on October 24, the pictorial showcases Hong Eun-chae under the concept "The Iron Heart," radiating doll-like beauty. With bold poses—such as aiming a rose like a gun, riding a motorcycle, and holding a torn teddy bear—she exudes both confidence and chic charm. Reports from the photoshoot reveal that the staff on-site couldn't stop praising her performance, as she perfectly embodied the concept.
In the accompanying interview, Hong Eun-chae reflected on the shoot, saying, "I usually show a cute side of myself, but I wanted to display this strong and cool image, too." As the youngest member of LE SSERAFIM, she also shared heartwarming thoughts about her groupmates: "My older sisters know exactly the kind of words I need to hear at my age. They always encourage me, telling me that I'm doing well and to stay strong. Especially Sakura—because she started working in the industry at a young age—she often says things like, 'I wish someone had told me these things when I was your age.' I feel so lucky to have them, they're such a source of strength."
Entering her third year as an idol, Hong Eun-chae reflected on her personal growth: "At first, I didn't really know who I was or what my strengths and weaknesses were. I just wanted to give it my all. But now, I've learned how to showcase more of myself on stage and capture people's attention. I've grown a lot, both as an idol and as a person."
She also shared how she copes with difficult moments: "I can't turn back time. The only thing I can do is live even harder and do better moving forward. Even if I feel down now, I still have to live tomorrow and complete tomorrow's schedule. So I try not to let myself dwell on things too much." Finding happiness in everyday moments is important to her, and she added with a smile, "Today, I felt happy because I got to eat spicy tteokbokki with the staff."
When asked what it means to be true to herself, Hong Eun-chae responded, "It's about continuously challenging myself, not giving up, and growing. It's about having grit." As for her hopes for the future, she said with a smile, "Before I go to sleep, I always wonder what will happen tomorrow. What unexpected things might come up in my schedule? No one knows what the future holds, and I want to try as many things as I can, whether I succeed or fail. I hope for amazing things to happen!"
