BTS member RM is heading to theaters worldwide with his first documentary film.
Distributor CJ 4DPLEX announced on October 30, "RM: Right People, Wrong Place will officially be released on December 5."
The film chronicles RM’s journey over eight months while working on his second solo album, *Right Place, Wrong Person*. It offers an intimate portrayal of Kim Namjoon, delving into his personal reflections, passions, and the challenges he faces.
The documentary was initially showcased at the 29th Busan International Film Festival, marking the first K-pop documentary to be officially invited to the Open Cinema category, where it was screened outdoors to an enthusiastic audience.
With overwhelming positive feedback, the film will now reach a global audience. *RM: Right People, Wrong Place* is set to premiere in over 90 countries and regions, including South Korea.
Alongside the release announcement, the main poster was unveiled, featuring a collage of RM in various settings, reflecting the distinct mood and artistic feel of the documentary.
RM released his second solo album in May, exploring his identity both as the leader of BTS and as an individual artist. The album reflects his search for authenticity amid these two roles.
A representative noted, "The documentary captures RM’s candid inner self through the process of creating his album, with director Lee Seok-jun presenting an art film-like aesthetic."
RM’s documentary will be released on December 5, and further information about the film can be found on the Korean CGV website and global platforms.
