Actor Ahn Hyo-seop Teams Up with Director Yoon Jong-ho for Drama Lovely Runner, Taking on the Role of a Secret Club's Ace
Ahn Hyo-seop's agency, The Present Company, confirmed on October 31 that Night in Paradise is one of the projects he's considering.
Based on the 2022 novel by Hwang Eui-geon, Night in Paradise delves into the rumors surrounding the lives of chaebols and the entertainment world. It follows a cursed chaebol heiress and a top ace at a secret club in Cheongdam-dong who protect each other from evil and discover true love.
Ahn Hyo-seop is set to play Cheongguk, the ace of the secret club C'est Bel Homme (meaning "handsome man" in French) and a former taekwondo athlete. With an athletic build and tall stature, he is a man burdened by debt due to his stepmother fleeing with his late father's life insurance payout, which ultimately leads him into the entertainment world.
Night in Paradise will be directed by Yoon Jong-ho, known for Lovely Runner, which aired on tvN.
Ahn Hyo-seop immigrated to Toronto, Canada, with his family in his youth before returning to Korea alone to join JYP Entertainment as a trainee, eventually debuting as an actor. He made his official debut in 2015 on tvN's Always Cantare 2and has since gained recognition with roles in SBS dramas such as Business Proposal,Still 17, and the Dr. Romanticseries.
On November 9 and 10, Ahn Hyo-seop will meet fans at the '2024 fan meeting I WANT TO SAY ( )' at Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
