Actress Jung Ho-yeon has made her mark in Hollywood.
Jung is currently starring in the Apple TV+ series Disclaimer. Despite it being her first English-speaking role, her stable voice projection and acting skills have captivated global audiences.
Disclaimer is a psychological thriller. It follows journalist "Catherine," who has built her career on exposing others' wrongdoings, as she receives a novel from an unknown writer, leading to unexpected events.
Jung plays "Ji-soo," Catherine's (played by Cate Blanchett) assistant. Ji-soo is a character who respects Catherine, portraying intelligence and ambition for her work.
One scene, in particular, has drawn attention—where Ji-soo listens to Steven (played by Kevin Kline). Jung captured Ji-soo's psychological shifts through subtle facial expressions, adding to the viewer's engagement.
Through Disclaimer, Jung has taken her first steps into Hollywood, working alongside renowned director Alfonso Cuarón, as well as Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline.
She also attended the premieres at the 81st Venice International Film Festival in August and the 68th BFI London Film Festival in October, where she received standing ovations from audiences.
Disclaimer consists of seven episodes in total, with the next episode set to release on the 8th.
