BTS's RM Unveils Main Trailer for His First Documentary Film RM: Right People, Wrong Place, Ahead of Global Release
RM's first documentary film, RM: Right People, Wrong Place, has released its main trailer in anticipation of its global premiere on December 5. After being officially invited to the Open Cinema section of the 29th Busan International Film Festival, the film has garnered significant interest. RM: Right People, Wrong Place captures the journey behind RM's second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, spanning eight months of creative work, personal reflections, and the passions of Kim Namjun, the individual behind the artist.
The main trailer opens with RM saying, "Let me try to leave a record of what's happening to me right now," hinting at his deep desire to document this chapter of his life. It features RM as both BTS's leader and a solo artist, fully immersed in his music, as well as moments from his everyday life as a thirty-year-old. The trailer also teases RM's introspective journey as he questions, "How honest can RM or Kim Namjun be?" and explores his search for identity amid various roles and expectations. With visually compelling cinematography, the film promises to be "an album-making film and a unique diary of youth" that sheds light on what RM cherished, pondered, and loved in 2023.
Along with the trailer release, the first wave of global pre-orders opened on November 6 in over 40 regions, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, France, and Germany. The second wave of global pre-orders will open on November 20 in countries including Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, Singapore, and Indonesia, while Japan's pre-orders will open on November 22.
RM: Right People, Wrong Place is set for release on December 5 in over 100 countries and regions worldwide.
