NCT's Doyoung has donated 100 million KRW to support nutrition and educational programs for children worldwide.
On the 7th, UNICEF Korea (President Jeong Gap-young) announced that Doyoung had contributed 100 million KRW in celebration of Universal Children's Day on the 20th, specifically for children in need.
Doyoung has been consistently active in charitable efforts, particularly focusing on supporting children and young women from low-income families. This latest donation will support healthy development for children, with Doyoung personally selecting the items and donation recipients.
His contribution will fully fund kits aimed at nutritional education. These kits contain essential supplies related to healthcare, nutrition, water sanitation, and education. Donors are able to choose which kits they would like to sponsor.
Through his donation, Doyoung plans to distribute around 150,000 high-nutrition biscuits and 3,300 backpacks to children in need.
"I wanted to give back to all the fans from different countries who have supported me on tour,” Doyoung shared, “I hope every child around the world can grow up healthy and happy, and I wish them a joyful Universal Children's Day."
Doyoung is also now part of UNICEF’s 'Honors Club,' an initiative for high-value donors. UNICEF officials stated, "His donation will bring hope to children facing hardships this winter due to war and natural disasters."
Meanwhile, on the 6th, Doyoung released his new song "Dazzlingly Radiant," which delivers an uplifting message to today’s youth. Doyoung collaborated with composer Seo Dong-hwan to create this track.
