BTS’s V will release a duet with legendary pop artist Bing Crosby.
On December 6 at 2 p.m. KST, V will globally release "White Christmas," originally a 1942 classic beloved worldwide. This collaboration is anticipated to offer a fresh interpretation of the timeless song, showcasing V's unique take on Christmas nostalgia.
This duet marks the first release of Bing Crosby’s voice in a new recording since his 1977 collaboration with David Bowie, making it the first-ever official duet of "White Christmas." Although countless artists have covered the song, no other duet version has been released.
V, who has long admired Crosby, initiated the collaboration. In 2022, he covered Crosby’s "It’s Been a Long, Long Time," expressing his deep respect for the artist. Bing Crosby's official channels responded warmly, saying, "We believe V will be an excellent jazz crooner, much like our Bing."
Meanwhile, V enlisted in the South Korean military as an active-duty soldier last December. He is currently serving in the Special Forces under the 2nd Corps Military Police Command in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, and is set to be discharged on June 10 next year.
