BLACKPINK's Lisa Makes Acting Debut in U.S. Drama 'The White Lotus 3'
On November 11, the teaser for The White Lotus 3, featuring BLACKPINK's Lisa, was released, marking her acting debut. In the short preview, Lisa appears as a hotel staff member, wearing a uniform and greeting guests, sparking excitement about her role in the hit HBO series. Lisa, credited as Lalisa Manoban, her birth name, will appear in Season 3, which was filmed in locations across Bangkok, Phuket, and Koh Samui, Thailand.
The White Lotus, created by Mike White, is an award-winning HBO series, with Seasons 1 and 2 set in Hawaii and Sicily, respectively, and both receiving Emmy Awards. White hinted that Season 3 will explore themes of death, Eastern religions, and spirituality with a satirical twist.
Lisa is the second BLACKPINK member to appear in an HBO series, following Jennie's appearance in The Idol, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival's non-competitive section last year.
The White Lotus 3, Lisa's debut project, will premiere on MAX in 2025.
Meanwhile, Lisa has been the subject of ongoing dating rumors with Frédéric Arnault, the fourth son of LVMH Chairman Bernard Arnault and CEO of TAG Heuer. Recently, speculation reignited when fans speculated that Lisa's new song, Moonlit Floor, might contain references to her boyfriend.
