Actors Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun-jin Entangled in a Mysterious Marriage in Netflix's Trunk
Netflix's new series Trunk (written by Park Eun-young, directed by Kim Gyu-tae) released still cuts on November 18, hinting at the complex narratives and relationships of temporary marriages.
The stills feature Gong Yoo as Han Jeong-won and Seo Hyun-jin as Noh In-ji, embarking on an unusual married life. Both characters exude an air of emptiness, subtly reflecting their shared yet unique emotional states.
The evolution of their relationship is teased as Noh In-ji's presence adds warmth to Han Jeong-won's cold home, even helping him find restful sleep despite his struggles with nightmares.
The series also introduces another couple, Lee Seo-yeon (Jung Yun-ha) and Yoon Ji-oh (Cho Yi-geon), whose enigmatic gazes heighten tension. Their interactions, such as Lee Seo-yeon provocatively wiping Han Jeong-won's lips in front of her ex-husband's wife and current husband, reveal tangled desires and layered dynamics.
A production team member teased, "Expect to uncover the secrets behind these marriages where real and fake are blurred, and see what awaits at the end of a temporary union."
Trunk, a mystery melodrama about a secretive marriage service and its peculiar relationships, premieres on November 29.
