SEVENTEEN’s unit BSS (BooSeokSoon) is gearing up for a New Year comeback.
Pledis Entertainment confirmed the news on November 19 during a phone call with *Dispatch*, stating, "BSS is preparing for their comeback, tentatively scheduled for early next year."
BSS is a special unit launched in 2018, named after the members’ real names: Boo Seungkwan (Seungkwan), Lee Seokmin (DK), and Kwon Soonyoung (Hoshi). They made waves with their debut track "Just Do It" that same year.
In February 2022, they released their first single album, *Second Wind*, led by the title track "Fighting" (featuring Lee Young-ji). The track achieved immense popularity, with first-week album sales reaching approximately 610,000 copies—a record-breaking feat for a K-pop unit.
The song topped numerous music charts, including 24 iTunes charts worldwide, and the album’s other tracks, such as "Lunch" and "Listen at 7 PM," also performed well.
Known as the "self-producing idols" of K-pop, SEVENTEEN members are expected to contribute their own compositions for the upcoming release. Pledis added, "Specific details about the comeback schedule and the album’s tracklist will be shared once finalized."
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN, who debuted in May 2015, will celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2025. BSS’s early-year comeback is expected to kick off a series of activities commemorating this milestone.
