Actor Byun Woo Seok has been chosen as the 23rd star of DICON. Following a summer gifted by Carry Sunjae and Run and marking his name in 2024, he has become one of the hottest faces of the year.
The theme is 'Comma.' Capturing Byun Woo Seok during a brief pause before meeting his next role after Sunjae. In reality, his daily life was far from restful, packed with the busy schedule of a rising star.
However, he wanted to deliver a genuine pause to his fans. A photoshoot prepared with the hope that fans can rest while looking at his kind face at the end of a tiring day.
The subtitle is 'Welcome to the Special,' inspired by his initials. Photographer Kang Ji Young captured Byun Woo Seok's most natural expressions and his unfamiliar, reversed sides, documenting his special moments.
Depending on the concept, five versions have been prepared. From a dark leather jacket (Version A) to a sporty look (Version B), an all-black suit (Version C), a mood-filled denim-on-denim look (Version D), and a pure white shirt look (Version E).
The photobook itself reflects his characteristics. Its vertical size was extended by 1.5 cm to capture his tall frame. The overall design also uses his favorite mint chocolate color.
Detailed behind-the-scenes moments from the photoshoot have been included. Fans can experience his professional moments firsthand. The photobook also includes an interview in which Byun Woo Seok shares updates and heartfelt messages for Mailbox (fan club).
He said, "This year has been a turning point for me as an actor. For the next 10 years, I want to continue improving steadily. I aim to become a better person and actor," expressing his sincere thoughts on acting.
Depending on the version, various special benefits are provided. Version A includes a photocard, masking tape designed with Byun Woo Seok's full-body, and a folding photocard. Version B includes a photocard, an acrylic keyring, and a calendar poster.
Version C includes a photocard, a postcard set featuring film photos taken by Byun Woo Seok, a case, and a calendar poster. Version D includes a photocard, a lenticular mini-picket keyring with three interchangeable expressions, and a calendar poster.
Finally, Version E includes a photocard, a six-cut folding photocard, and a scratch-off message card where fans can reveal hidden phrases.
DICON will begin pre-orders on November 25 at 5 PM. Fans can place their orders through DICON Mall, KakaoTalk Gift Shop, Weverse Shop, Yes24, Aladin, Kyobo Bookstore, Gmarket, Danal Entertainment, Ktown4u, and Gobunsha in Japan. Pre-orders will close on December 2 at 11:59 PM.
