Red Velvet's Irene Successfully Kicks Off Her Solo Career

Irene of Red Velvet has made a successful solo debut.

On November 26, Irene released her first mini-album, Like A Flower. According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold 250,000 copies on its first day of release.

The album has captivated global fans, reaching No. 1 on iTunes Top Album charts in 21 regions and countries, including Thailand, Finland, and Chile.

That's not all. Irene's Like A Flower also topped China's QQ Music digital album sales chart and climbed to the upper ranks of Japan's AWA Rising Chart.

The album consists of eight tracks, including the title track of the same name, showcasing a variety of genres to allow fans to experience a new musical world.

The title track is a pop dance song with a lively Afro rhythm, complemented by soft and dreamy sounds. The lyrics convey a message of blooming beautifully on one's own.

Meanwhile, Irene is scheduled to appear on SBS PowerFM's Wendy's Young Street on November 27 at 8 p.m.
