BTS's Jungkook Wins Triple Crown at 2024 MAMA Awards

BTS's Jungkook claimed three awards at the 2024 MAMA Awards held on November 23 at Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan. He was honored with Best Male Artist and Best Dance Performance Male Solo, adding to the Fans' Choice Male Top 10award he received during the first chapter of the event, achieving a total of three awards.

Jungkook won Best Dance Performance Male Solo for his first solo album GOLDEN's title track, Standing Next to You, released in November 2023. Known for his "complete performance," Jungkook has been recognized as a leading dance solo artist of the 2020s. His introduction choreography using a standing microphone and his commanding solo performance captivated global music fans. In December 2023, he released Standing Next to You - Usher Remix, featuring a legendary performance video alongside R&B icon Usher.

BTS members collectively secured seven awards at the event, including Jungkook's triple win. Jimin claimed VISA Fans' Choice of the Year, one of the four grand prizes, and also earned a spot in the Fans' Choice Male Top 10, achieving two awards. RM and V also received trophies for Fans' Choice Male Top 10.

BTS has consistently won the Fans' Choice of the Year award for six consecutive years since its inception in 2018, with Jimin continuing the streak this year, showcasing the group's enduring popularity.

Jungkook's solo career has been equally remarkable. His first solo single Seven (feat. Latto), released in July 2023, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 and set a record as the fastest song to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Additionally, his follow-up solo singles, 3D (feat. Jack Harlow) in September and Standing Next to You in November, both debuted at No. 5 on the Hot 100. Jungkook remains the only Korean solo artist to have three songs chart in the Hot 100's top five.
