BABYMONSTER Set to Perform on Japan's Top Music Shows

YG Entertainment's rookie girl group BABYMONSTER is making waves on Japan's major terrestrial music programs.

On November 27, YG Entertainment announced that BABYMONSTER will perform their first studio album's title track, DRIP, live on TV Asahi's Music Station (commonly known as M-Ste), airing on November 29. This marks the group's second appearance on Japan's most iconic music show, which boasts a 38-year history.

Previously, BABYMONSTER impressed with their explosive live performance of SHEESH, the title track from their debut album BABYMONS7ER, earning them the title of "monster rookies" in Japan. With their upgraded skills, the upcoming DRIP performance is highly anticipated.

The group will perform a Korean version of DRIP using handheld microphones, showcasing their enhanced abilities and aiming to captivate Japanese music fans. Additionally, BABYMONSTER will appear on NHK's Venue101 on November 30 and Fuji TV's Weekly Nainai Music on December 11, kicking off full-scale promotions in Japan.

Their first studio album, DRIP, has already achieved remarkable success in Japan, topping the iTunes Japan Top Album Chart and the Real-Time Album Top 100 Chart on Line Music, Japan's largest streaming platform, upon release. The album also ranked high on major charts like Oricon and Billboard Japan.

To celebrate the release of DRIP, popup stores in Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Fukuoka have been drawing massive crowds daily. Furthermore, BABYMONSTER's debut world tour, slated for 2025, will include four Japanese cities—Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka—underscoring their immense popularity in the region.
