Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon are teaming up as hosts for the SBS Drama Awards.

On December 3, SBS announced, "Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon will host the '2024 SBS Drama Awards,' which will air on December 21. The event will celebrate and wrap up a year of brilliant SBS dramas."

Kim Hye-yoon and Kim Ji-yeon are the fresh faces for this year's awards show. Both actresses have been featured in key SBS dramas, and their synergy is expected to bring a refreshing vibe to the ceremony.

Shin Dong-yup, a familiar face at the SBS Drama Awards, returns as host for the eighth consecutive year. Renowned for his reliable hosting, quick wit, and humor, he promises to bring entertainment and professionalism to the stage.

Kim Hye-yoon gained widespread popularity this year with "Carrying Seon-jae Away" (translated title), which sparked the "Seon-jae Craze." She has also chosen "I Am Human Starting Today" as her next SBS drama project.

A representative noted, "This will be Kim Hye-yoon's first time hosting an awards show. Fans can look forward to seeing her charm and energy shine in real-time, beyond her on-screen roles."

Kim Ji-yeon has also had a busy year, gaining recognition through the TVING original series "The Pyramid Game." She has been cast as the lead in the upcoming SBS historical drama "Return to the Palace" (working title), set to air in 2025.

Taking on her first historical role, Kim Ji-yeon's participation has raised anticipation. "Her involvement is expected to mark a significant milestone in her career," said the production team. "The selection of these SBS drama stars as MCs has already sparked excitement among fans."

The 2024 SBS Drama Awards will air on December 21 at 8:35 PM KST on SBS.
