SEVENTEEN Tops Oricon Weekly Singles Chart with 4th Japanese Single Shohikigen

SEVENTEEN's fourth Japanese single, Shohikigen, has claimed the No. 1 spot on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.

According to Oricon on December 3rd, Shohikigen recorded 418,000 copies sold during the latest weekly chart period (dated December 9, covering sales from November 25 to December 1), securing the top position.

This marks the highest first-week sales for a single album by an international artist released this year.

With this achievement, SEVENTEEN has now topped the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart with all four of their Japanese singles, starting with Fallin' Flower in April 2020 and continuing through to Shohikigen.

Oricon highlighted this as "the most consecutive No. 1 rankings achieved by an international artist."

The track also topped Billboard Japan's latest Top Single Sales chart (dated December 4, with sales tracked from November 25 to December 1).

Released on November 27, Shohikigen debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart and maintained the top position for five consecutive days. The album surpassed 400,000 cumulative sales in just three days, showcasing SEVENTEEN's strong album sales power.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is successfully continuing their Japan dome tour.

The group performed to 90,000 fans at Nagoya's Vantelin Dome on November 29 and 30. They are set to meet more fans at Tokyo Dome on December 4 and 5, Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 12 and 14–15, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 19 and 21–22.
