G-Dragon's New Song Blocked from KBS Airplay

KBS has announced that G-Dragon's latest track, "Home Sweet Home," will not be eligible for broadcast on its network. The decision was revealed on December 4 via the official KBS website, citing the results of their music content review.

The song received a "disqualified" rating for violating Article 46 of the broadcasting regulations, which restricts content that may have an advertising effect. The lyrics of "Home Sweet Home" reference specific brands, including "Airbnb," with lines such as:
"Don't play on me no we're Air B&B, You're Home-less."

However, the ruling allows for revisions. If the flagged sections are modified or removed, the song can undergo a re-evaluation, potentially gaining approval for broadcast.

"Home Sweet Home" is a collaboration between G-Dragon and his BIGBANG bandmates Taeyang and Daesung. The song conveys a heartfelt message about returning to their fans, described as their "joyful home."

The track has already garnered significant attention, with BIGBANG's full group performance of it at the recent 2024 MAMA Awards earning widespread acclaim. The group showcased their undiminished talent and stage presence, leaving fans in awe.

Upon its release on November 22, "Home Sweet Home" dominated domestic music charts, achieving first place on real-time and daily charts and securing the top spot on weekly rankings.
