'BTS' member V is set to release a Christmas carol duet with pop legend Bing Crosby.
BigHit Music announced on the 6th, "The duet track 'White Christmas' by V and Bing Crosby, along with its music video, will be released today at 2 PM."
'White Christmas' marks V's second winter-themed release. Last month, he collaborated with Park Hyo-shin for the digital single 'Winter Ahead,' offering listeners heartfelt melodies.
This duet delivers a warm emotional resonance. V reinterpreted parts of 'White Christmas,' blending his signature jazzy vocals harmoniously with Bing Crosby's original tone.
Primary Wave, Crosby's management agency, shared their enthusiasm: "We recorded the song to showcase V's beloved voice alongside a warm soundscape."
This collaboration was made possible through advanced technology. Crosby's voice was extracted from his 1950 original recording—not AI-generated—and paired with V's vocals. A newly orchestrated accompaniment was also added to make it sound as if the two performed together in the same studio.
V expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, saying, "I grew up listening to Bing Crosby's songs every day. It was an honor and a joy to sing with my idol."
He added, "Bing Crosby is my favorite jazz artist. I poured all my admiration for him into this performance, and I hope everyone enjoys it."
The 'White Christmas' music video will premiere alongside the track and will be available on Bing Crosby's official YouTube channel.
