K-pop group ILLIT has achieved remarkable success on the 2024 Billboard Japan year-end charts, marking the highest ranking among international artists.
On December 6, Billboard Japan revealed its 2024 year-end charts (covering data from November 27, 2023, to November 24, 2024). ILLIT's debut single "Magnetic" secured the 15th spot on the comprehensive 'Hot 100,' the highest rank for a song by an international artist.
Additionally, "Magnetic" ranked 4th on the year-end 'TikTok Songs' chart, 14th on 'Streaming Songs,' and 54th on 'Download Songs,' also claiming the top positions among tracks by overseas artists across these categories.
ILLIT was placed 30th on the 'Artist 100,' a chart that aggregates points from song and album performances. Moreover, their first mini-album Super Real Me landed in 53rd place on the 'Download Albums' chart.
ILLIT's global influence is also evident on Spotify. According to Spotify's 2024 year-end Wrapped report, "Magnetic" ranked as the 5th most-streamed K-pop track worldwide, the highest placement for a K-pop girl group song.
The track continues to gain recognition from major international media outlets. "Magnetic" was the only K-pop song featured in NPR's The 124 Best Songs of 2024. It also ranked 27th and 5th in NME's Top 50 Songs of 2024 and PopMatters' Top 15 K-pop Songs of 2024, respectively.
ILLIT's achievements underscore their growing global presence and cement their position as a rising force in the music industry.
