Starship Entertainment announced on December 10 that girl group IVE has achieved impressive results on major Japanese music charts.
According to Billboard Japan's annual charts (November 27, 2023–November 24, 2024), IVE's second Japanese album ALIVE, released in August, ranked 21st on the "Hot Albums" chart. The album also secured 19th place on the "Top Album Sales" chart and 44th on the "Artist 100" chart, solidifying IVE's growing presence in Japan.
Meanwhile, IVE's second Korean mini-album IVE SWITCH was recognized as one of the "25 Best K-pop Albums of 2024" by U.S. Billboard staff, further demonstrating their global appeal.
IVE's success also extended to Japan's Tower Records yearly charts. ALIVE ranked 8th, and IVE SWITCH secured 14th place in the "2024 Bestselling K-pop Top 20," making IVE the only girl group to have both Korean and Japanese albums on the list.
In addition, IVE consistently placed high on Tower Records' "K-POP/World Sales" chart and topped the "Daily Pre-Order Sales" chart shortly after opening reservations.
ALIVE set a new personal record for the group, ranking 1st on Oricon's "Daily Album Chart" (August 28–30) and surpassing the sales of their first Japanese album WAVE.
IVE's popularity was further demonstrated during their first world tour, SHOW WHAT I HAVE. The final concert in Japan, held at Tokyo Dome on September 4-5, attracted a total of 95,000 fans, filling the iconic venue to capacity.
