GFRIEND Shares Heartfelt Message with Fans Ahead of 10th Anniversary
GFRIEND, nearing their 10th debut anniversary, reached out to fans during a live session on the global superfan platform, Weverse, on December 10.
This marked their first real-time interaction with fans since announcing a special anniversary album and solo concert set for January 2025, drawing significant attention from BUDDYs (their fandom) and K-pop enthusiasts alike.
During the live broadcast, the six members said, "It's been a while since we've greeted you as GFRIEND. We're working hard on preparations for our solo concert and special album. We missed you just as much as you've missed us." They added, "One fan mentioned how they liked us since elementary school and are now attending our concert as an adult. It feels surreal."
The group also teased fans by hinting at a recent schedule they had worked on together, sparking curiosity. "The solo concert in January sold out quickly. The setlist incorporates a lot of our input, and it wasn't easy selecting songs since there were so many we wanted to perform," they revealed, heightening expectations for the event.
They also shared behind-the-scenes details of their Killing Voice appearance, which aired on December 10 at 7 PM via Dingo Music's YouTube channel. "It was our first official schedule together, and we were so nervous our hands were sweating," they recalled. "Watching everyone perform with so much effort felt very emotional." The Killing Voice video, featuring hits like Me Gustas Tu and Rough, amassed 1 million views within just eight hours, demonstrating fans' enthusiastic response.
Meanwhile, GFRIEND will pre-release a new single on January 6, followed by their official anniversary special album Season of Memories on January 13 at 6 PM. Their solo concert, GFRIEND 10th Anniversary 'Season of Memories', will take place on January 18-19 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul's Olympic Park.
