Rosé of Blackpink revealed anecdotes about Bruno Mars and Blackpink.
On the 11th, Rosé appeared as a guest on tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" (hereinafter referred to as "You Quiz").
Ahead of Rosé's appearance, Jo Se-ho transformed into Joruno Mars, and Yoo Jae-suk personally drew a beard on him. Rosé, who swept the world with "On the Ground," then made her entrance. Seeing Jo Se-ho, Rosé laughed and said, "You look so similar. I was so surprised. It feels like I'm watching you from the side. The details are amazing."
Rosé shared her feelings about the "On the Ground" craze, saying, "It's kind of amazing." Yoo Jae-suk introduced her, saying, "She's not just a vocalist. She also participated in writing and composing the lyrics," and Rosé revealed, "I started working on music with my friends in the studio, and I told them about a Korean drinking game. I started by teaching them my favorite 'On the Ground,' and whenever they did anything, my foreign friends would do it."
Rosé, who worked with Bruno Mars, said, "Actually, Bruno was also supposed to come with me. He even said he would appear on 'You Quiz.' So I had high expectations, but he couldn't come due to visa issues," expressing her disappointment. Yoo Jae-suk also expressed his regret, saying, "I wish I could have seen Bruno too."
Rosé then called Bruno Mars. Yoo Jae-suk said, "It's okay if it doesn't work out. I totally understand. We also have Joruno Mars," but he looked at her with hopeful eyes. When he didn't answer the phone, Rosé said, "I called him before I came. I thought I had to do this. He's a shy person, but he's very proactive about Korea. He wants to do it."
Yoo Jae-suk said, "Rosé is amazing. If it were us, we would have said it cautiously, but you said, 'You have to do this.'" Rosé replied, "I'm almost like a manager. I persuade him. I told him that Korean fans would be so disappointed if you didn't come here. I said I would send you a video if you couldn't."
Rosé, who was a fan of Bruno Mars, said, "A year ago, Bruno Mars came to Seoul for a concert. I went to see him too, and he was so good that it was a shocking experience. I reflected a lot. I thought to myself for a moment that I wanted to collaborate, but I thought I shouldn't even think about it because I would be disappointed." Rosé continued, "On that day, I was sure I wouldn't go to the after-party, so I didn't go, but I heard he was there, so I went back through the fans. But he had left an hour ago. So I went home in four minutes," revealing her long-standing fandom.
A year later, when Rosé had the opportunity to collaborate with Bruno Mars, she secretly sent "On the Ground" as one of the three songs. Rosé said, "Bruno sometimes tells me to enjoy the moment. This kind of thing doesn't happen often."
When Yoo Jae-suk asked if she missed the Blackpink members, Rosé said, "A lot. Even on the day the song was released, I had a video call with Lisa for over an hour. I got a lot of calls, but I only talked to you. I've also texted Jisoo unnie for an hour, and Jennie unnie sent me videos. I miss them all because we're all so busy." Rosé expressed her anticipation for Blackpink's group activities scheduled for next year, saying, "As people who make music, I think we need to be inspired to grow. It seems like it was a very important time."
