SEVENTEEN Wins First Billboard Music Award at the 2024 BBMAs
SEVENTEEN achieved a significant milestone by winning their first-ever award at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards(BBMAs), held on December 13 in the United States. The group was honored in the Top K-Pop Touring Artist category, which recognizes K-pop artists who have hosted the most successful tours of the year.
In their acceptance speech, SEVENTEEN expressed gratitude to their fans, saying, "We believe this award is something we could achieve because of CARATs. We always strive to repay CARATs' love with good music and performances, but our fans constantly surprise us with even greater love."
The group added, "Receiving this award while we're in the middle of our world tour makes it even more meaningful. It feels like a message to keep moving forward and to connect more closely with each and every audience member."
SEVENTEEN concluded by saying, "Once again, thank you to all the CARATs and everyone supporting our tour. We will continue to work hard to be artists who can deliver positive energy and happiness through our music."
SEVENTEEN also delivered a spectacular performance of "LOVE, MONEY, FAME" during the event. The stage was themed around a guerrilla concert and filmed across Los Angeles' downtown area and Santa Monica Pier.
The group showcased their signature free-spirited and relaxed energy, spreading the song's message—"Love is more important than money or fame"—throughout the city. The crowd responded with enthusiastic cheers, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
This year, SEVENTEEN has been traveling the globe. In January, they held stadium performances in Bulacan and Macau. From March to May, they embarked on an encore tour, performing at massive stadiums in Korea and Japan.
In October, the group kicked off their world tour SEVENTEEN: Right Here at the Goyang Stadium in Korea. They have continued their success with sold-out shows across the United States and Japan.
SEVENTEEN's tour will continue on December 14–15 at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, followed by performances at Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 19 and 21–22.
