Stray Kids Win at BBMAs for Second Consecutive Year

Stray Kids Achieve Back-to-Back Wins at Billboard Music Awards

Stray Kids secured their second consecutive win at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) on December 12 (local time). The group took home the award for Top Global K-Pop Artist, solidifying their global presence.

This marks Stray Kids' second year of recognition at the BBMAs. Last year, they made history as the first 4th-generation K-pop boy group to win in the Top K-Pop Album category. This year, they were celebrated as a Global K-Pop Artist.

The members expressed their gratitude, saying, "Thank you to STAYs (fandom) all over the world. It's because STAYs are by our side that we're able to receive such precious awards and perform on such big stages. This is all thanks to our fans."

Stray Kids also took the stage as performers for the second consecutive year. They electrified the audience with performances of "Chik Chik Boom," the title track from their mini-album EIGHT, and the B-side "Jam."

The group has achieved remarkable success on the Billboard charts. Since March 2022, they've secured five consecutive No. 1s on the Billboard 200 with albums including ODDINARY, MAXIDENT, 5-STAR, ROCK-STAR, and EIGHT.

Continuing their global momentum, Stray Kids released their mixtape HOP (合) at 2 PM the same day. Their agency hinted at innovative elements in the album through prior promotional teasers.
