"Impure spirits, depart at once."
The upcoming film The Priests 2: Dark Nuns (directed by Kwon Hyuk-jae) released its teaser trailer on December 16, featuring actors Song Hye-kyo and Jeon Yeo-bin. The intriguing pairing has piqued curiosity.
The 1-minute-8-second teaser opens with Sister Younia (played by Song Hye-kyo) walking with a determined expression, while Sister Michaela (played by Jeon Yeo-bin) is seen preparing for something ominous.
The tension escalates as the caption "The forbidden ritual begins" appears, hinting at an exorcism to save a boy trapped by darkness. The characters plunge into danger to rescue him.
The Priests 2: Dark Nuns serves as the second installment to The Priests (2015), following a similar theme of forbidden rituals and exorcism to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.
Song Hye-kyo and Jeon Yeo-bin transform into the titular black nuns, portraying Sister Younia and Sister Michaela respectively. Lee Jin-wook joins the cast as Father Paolo, while Moon Woo-jin takes on the role of the boy, Hee-jun.
The Priests 2: Dark Nuns is set to hit theaters on January 24 next year.
