Stray Kids (also known as "SKZ") are making waves on global charts.
On December 13, Stray Kids released their SKZHIP HIPTAPE 'HOP' with the title track 'Walkin On Water.' The album has dominated top chart positions globally.
They claimed the No. 1 spot on Worldwide and European iTunes Album Charts (as of December 13–14) and topped iTunes Top Album Charts in 28 regions (as of the morning of December 16).
Moreover, the album achieved million-selling status within just one day of release, recording sales of 1.42 million copies on the Hanteo Chart.
'Walkin On Water' reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in 25 regions, including Mexico and Chile, reflecting its strong appeal to global listeners.
The music video for the track has also garnered widespread attention. Since its release, it has stayed at the top of YouTube's Worldwide Trending Music Videos list for four consecutive days.
The video has been ranked on YouTube's Trending Videos charts in 43 regions (as of December 15), with praise for its blend of classic aesthetics and dynamic hip-hop energy.
Stray Kids recently solidified their global popularity with significant achievements. On December 13 (KST), they won the Top Global K-Pop Artist award at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards.
This marked the first time a 4th-generation K-pop boy group won the award, with Stray Kids taking the title for the second consecutive year.
Their success extends to Billboard's year-end charts. Their album "Rockstar" placed 4th in the Top Album Sales category, the highest ranking for a Korean artist, while "8" claimed the 9th spot.
Stray Kids also achieved high rankings across various Billboard charts, including No. 1 on World Albums, No. 1 on World Album Artists, and No. 2 on Top Album Sales Artists.
To celebrate their new release, Stray Kids are hosting a range of promotional events. From December 14 to 22, they are running the "SKZ HOP" pop-up store at Huigyeomjae in Jongno, Seoul.
Later today at 2 PM KST, the group will release their remix single 'Walkin On Water Remixes.' Multiple versions of the title track, including Sleigh, Sway, Sped Up, and Instrumental, will be available for fans to enjoy.
