G-Dragon and Kim Tae-ho Team Up for New Variety Show 'Good Day'
The highly anticipated new variety show 'Good Day' featuring G-Dragon and producer Kim Tae-ho has officially been scheduled to air on MBC. On December 16, the network unveiled behind-the-scenes photos, including G-Dragon and comedian Jung Hyung-don, reuniting for the first time in 12 years since the 2013 'Infinite Challenge' Music Festival.
The first shoot was filled with nostalgia, as the duo visited Dongmyo, a spot that holds memories of their "Hyung Yong Don Jyong" days. The production team hinted, "Friends of G-Dragon, like Defconn, Jo Se-ho, and Code Kunst, will add more fun by interacting with various personalities from different fields."
The lineup for the show has already generated buzz, with stars like Taeyang, Daesung, Kim Soo-hyun, Hwang Jung-min, Jung Hae-in, Yim Si-wan, Hwang Kwang-hee, Kim Go-eun, aespa, Day6, and Ahn Sung-jae reportedly in talks to appear.
'Good Day' is a music-driven variety show where G-Dragon collaborates with people from various fields to create the song of the year. The concept, born from G-Dragon's own idea, highlights his return to music production after an 8-year hiatus, incorporating reflections and stories gathered during his break.
G-Dragon will personally take on the role of producer, crafting a collaborative track with multiple artists. The lyrics will be inspired by the stories of individuals encountered throughout the project.
Reflecting on the show, G-Dragon shared, "I still remember the joy of singing with artists I admired and laughing with my hyungs at the 'Infinite Challenge Music Festival.' Those memories remain as some of my best days." He added that the show was born from the thought, "What if we could set the stage for a day that everyone dreams of?"
The production team hinted at a blend of G-Dragon's witty charm and his brilliant musical talent, offering viewers a glimpse of his genius both in the studio and on-screen.
Producer Kim Tae-ho, known for his innovative approach, is reuniting with MBC for the first time in three years. MBC stated, "Kim Tae-ho's creative direction will shine in this program."
'Good Day' is set to premiere in the first half of next year.
