&TEAM Returns with an Album Summarizing Their Year
&TEAM released their second full-length album, "Yukiakari," on December 18. The term "Yukiakari" refers to the phenomenon where light reflects off snow, making the surroundings appear bright.
This album represents the "winter" chapter, the final installment in their seasonal album series. The series began with "Samidare" for spring, followed by "Aoarashi" for summer, and "Jyuugoya" for autumn.
The new release signifies a fresh start and hope for the boys, whose bond has grown stronger through spring, summer, and autumn. It features four new tracks, including the title song "Yukiakari," as well as "Dear Hunter,""Illumination," and "Crescent Moon's Wish."
"Yukiakari" and "Dear Hunter" were also recorded in Korean versions. Along with 16 previously released tracks, the album includes a total of 22 songs, capturing &TEAM's continuous efforts throughout the year.
The production team is impressive. Vincenzo, known for creating hits for various K-pop artists, Bang Si-hyuk, who has been with &TEAM since their debut, Soma Genda, and rising producer Knok all contributed.
Cirkit also joined the project. Known as a hitmaker, Cirkit has worked on Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball," Maroon 5's "Girls Like You," Jungkook's "Seven," and collaborations with Rosé and Bruno Mars.
The title track starts with an emotional guitar riff that transitions into a dynamic melody. Its lyrics convey the confidence and determination of the boys as they embark on a new beginning, inspired by the seasons they've shared together.
"Dear Hunter" portrays the growth of the boys as they take their first steps into adulthood, using wolves as a metaphor. The track's dark pop sound is complemented by the members' captivating vocals.
The pre-released "Illumination" is a medium-tempo ballad blending soft melodies with romantic lyrics. It harmonizes beautifully with &TEAM's alluring vocals, amplifying the winter sentiment.
Notably, the album also includes the group's first fan song, "Crescent Moon's Wish." The members express their heartfelt promise to continue walking alongside their fandom, LUNE.
On December 19, &TEAM will hold a showcase in Tokyo, Japan, to celebrate the release of their second full-length album. On December 27, they are set to attend the 2024 Asia Artist Awards in Bangkok, Thailand.
