Actor Do Kyung-soo is set to showcase his first romantic role on the big screen.
The film Secret (directed by Seo Yoo-min) is a fantasy romance that unfolds when Yoo Jun and Jung Ah cross paths in a mysterious campus practice room where a secret about time lies hidden.
The movie is a remake of a popular Taiwanese film of the same name. Do Kyung-soo plays Yoo Jun, a genius piano student who has been active abroad as a pianist before arriving in Korea as an exchange student.
He falls into a fateful love with Jung Ah, played by Won Jin-ah. Do Kyung-soo will depict the exhilaration of first love, moments of missed connection, and a professional pianist's poise throughout the film.
Director Seo Yoo-min shared, "When I first wrote the script, Do Kyung-soo was the actor who came to mind. His romantic, dreamy aura as a musician and his atmospheric voice were perfect for the role."
For Do Kyung-soo, playing the piano in a film was a first. He noted, "Besides practicing piano performances, I studied how professional pianists move their hands, the rhythm they maintain, and their motions."
Secret is slated to hit theaters next month.
