SEVENTEEN's S.Coups Expresses Condolences for Jeju Air Tragedy
On November 30, SEVENTEEN leader S.Coups shared a message of condolence through the group's official account, stating, "I express my deepest condolences to the victims and their families affected by this tragedy. My heart goes out to them. May the deceased rest in peace."
The tragic incident occurred on November 29 at 9:03 a.m. when Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 from Bangkok attempted to land at Muan International Airport. The aircraft collided with runway facilities, breaking apart and catching fire.
The plane, a B737-800, carried 181 people, including 175 passengers and six crew members. Apart from two Thai nationals, all passengers were Korean, and 179 individuals, excluding two crew members, were confirmed dead.
In response to the tragedy, SEVENTEEN postponed the scheduled photo release for the special unit BSS (Seungkwan, Hoshi, and DK)'s second single "Telepathy," which was originally planned for November 29. The single is set to release on December 8.
