Actor Park Sung-hoon Apologizes for Accidental Upload of AV Image
On November 30, BH Entertainment addressed the controversy surrounding Park Sung-hoon's accidental upload of an adult video (AV) image on social media. A representative told Dispatch, "Park Sung-hoon has been receiving a large number of DMs recently. While checking them, he mistakenly uploaded the image."
The agency added, "Park Sung-hoon was shocked and deeply embarrassed by the incident. Although the post was quickly deleted, he feels deeply sorry for making such an error during the national mourning period."
The agency apologized to fans, emphasizing, "This was truly a mistake, and we will take special care to ensure such incidents do not happen again."
The controversy arose when Park Sung-hoon uploaded a parody image of Squid Game featuring explicit nudity. While it was immediately deleted, some fans had already seen the post, leading to widespread discussion.
Park Sung-hoon recently appeared in Netflix's Squid Game Season 2, earning praise for his performance as Hyun-joo, a transgender former soldier. His acting has been particularly well-received by international audiences.
Meanwhile, the government has declared a national mourning period until January 4, 2025, following the Jeju Air tragedy. The entertainment industry has joined the mourning, with major year-end award shows being postponed or canceled.
